Biography

Renae Carey is best known for Acrylic Pouring/Fluid Art. She strives to think outside of the box and come up with new or inventive ways to manipulate the pour on canvas.

Renae draws her inspiration from the changes in nature during each season, dreams of new ideas and color combinations and anything of beauty that catches her eye. Her emotions go into her work which can be seen in her color choices and methods from time to time.

At a young age, Renae found peace and happiness in the art world. Starting with coloring as a young child progressed into Art classes middle school through high school. During her years in Art Classes, she learned many different mediums such as String Art, Pottery, Calligraphy, Charcoals, Pastels, Watercolor, Acrylics as well as Pencil Grid Drawing.

After high school, Renae married twice and climbed ladders in the business world. After 7 years of marriage to her second husband, her husband had a stroke at the base of his brain stem which almost took his life. Renae's life as she knew it came to a stop. Her focus was on her husband and with prayer and a miracle healing, her husband recovered from the stroke with little side effects.

Renae then noticed how quickly life had passed by and realized she left her passion behind. She then reacquainted herself with her old friend and researched what was new and upcoming in the art world and came upon Acrylic Fluid Art. She researched and learned everything she could about this new medium and decided to give it a try. Renae fell in love and hasn’t looked back!
